Melissa Kesti

Director of Property Management

Melissa graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family Studies. Having lived in NH all her life, she moved to Portland, Maine after graduating to live with her partner and to experience living somewhere new. She began working for Schneider Property Management in the spring of 2011. Initially, she worked as a front desk agent and out on the road showing apartments. Over time she used her positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job to work her way up and take over more responsibilities. Today, she is the manager and oversees the general day-to-day business including, but not limited to: leasing, owner and tenant correspondence, and maintenance scheduling. In fall of 2015, using the knowledge and interest she gained at SPM, she purchased her own multi-family in Westbrook where she now lives with her husband and daughter, with plans to buy another in the future.

Kelly Covey

Property Accountant II

Born and raised in Vermont, Kelly moved to Maine for college, fell in love with the state, and decided to stay long-term. Kelly has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maine and worked as a teacher in the city of Portland before switching fields and joining the Schneider Property Management, LLC team in the Fall of 2016. Initially, she worked as a front desk and showing agent before transitioning to writing leases, and then to bookkeeping in the Spring of 2020. At the office, Kelly has the responsibility of collecting tenant rents and client payments, as well as invoicing, paying vendors, and sending monthly reports to clients. In addition to this, Kelly is responsible for keeping our subcontractors’ insurance, W-9, and workers compensation policies on file and current. In the summer of 2020, she purchased her first of hopefully many multi-units in Biddeford where she now resides.

Melissa Joan Gale

Senior Property Manager

Melissa is from Gorham, ME and attended the University of Maine in Orono where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. After living and working in the Bangor area for a few years, she moved back to Southern ME in 2019 with her partner and currently lives in Sagadahoc County. Her responsibilities include vetting applicants, writing leases, tenant correspondence, and assisting in the coordination and scheduling of maintenance.

Sarah Adams

Resident Coordinator

Sarah is a graduate of Keene State College class of 2012 who holds a B.A. in English. She grew up in northern New Hampshire and moved to Portland after college for a change in scenery, and to experience city life. She began working in restaurants as a cook during college and worked for five years at a busy establishment in downtown Portland before deciding to seek new career opportunities. At SPM, Sarah cheerfully assists people on the phone and puts together rental applications. She is also responsible for lease renewals, online rental listings, and contributes to social media posts.

Tara Flanders

Leasing Agent

Tara is the newest addition to the SPM team. Tara is from Windham and is currently a student at Southern Maine Community College. She has recently graduated with her liberal studies degree and is going back to get her associates degree in business. She is also a part of the women’s basketball team at SMCC. For the past six years, Tara has worked at Point Sebago Golf course during the summers as the outdoor operations manager. She has joined the SPM team on a part time basis to assist in administrative duties and processing applications. She hopes to gain new skills and knowledge to help toward her degree.
